I can't get no sleep
Perhaps counterintuitively, Parkinson's has given me early mornings and I love them.
Insomnia-Faithless
I’ve always been a morning person. I used to say I’d much rather the working day started at 6am but finished at 4pm. My mind is always clearer first thing. As Parkinson’s progresses, I seem to be waking earlier and earlier. Sometimes 4am. Sometimes 5am. But actually I love it.
I know I’m probably alone in this feeling as the vast majority of those of us with PD have real sleep issues which can be debilitating. But for me my mornings seem to be best for me. For now at least, my mind is still clear first thing before the fog descends. I’m hoping this will always be the case but one thing I’ve learned living
with PD is that things change in the blink of an eye. So I will continue to marvel at the Cotswold sunrises, the couple of chapters in whatever book I’m reading, yet another @spursofficial podcast. PD is taking so much away but for once it’s given me something to cherish #parkinsons #youngonsetparkinsons #yop
